Edward Beckett Helps Pick Winners for Security Sales Magazine's 6th Annual SAMMY Awards Dateline: August, 2000
TORRANCE, CALIF.--Along with several members of Security Sales magazine's editorial staff, Edward Beckett of Beckett & Beckett , (the ad agency and branding consultancy with over a dozen years' experience in the Security Industry), sat down to determine the winners of the Year 2000 SAMMY awards.
Short for "Sales and Marketing" award, the SAMMY symbolizes the pinnacle in sales, marketing, advertising, and public relations for security dealers and installers around the country.
Throughout the entire week of August 7 through 12, the Security Sales editorial staff sifted through more than 200 entries from over 80 qualified companies, but only 15 awards were to be given out. As creative chief/V.P. of Beckett & Beckett and with over 33 years of experience and awards of his own in the advertising business, Edward Beckett personified the perfect judge for identifying award-winning sales and marketing campaigns.
Accepting the invitation from Security Sales, Beckett helped narrow the eligible candidates to the select 15.
